Abstract

Prokrastinasi akademik merupakan permasalahan umum yang seringkali dihadapi oleh mahasiswa. Prokrastinasi akademik dapat memberikan dampak yang buruk bagi proses pendidikan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menyelidiki bagaimana peran academic burnout terhadap prokrastinasi akademik yang dialami oleh mahasiswa Kota Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel penelitian diambil menggunakan teknik convenience sampling, dan melibatkan total 199 mahasiswa tahun studi ke 3, 4, dan 5 yang sedang berkuliah di Kota Malang. Kemudian, penelitian ini menggunakan Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey (MBI-SS) dan skala Prokrastinasi Akademik sebagai instrumen penelitian. Selanjutnya, teknik analisis regresi linear sederhana dipilih untuk menguji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa academic burnout memiliki peran yang positif yang berkontribusi 24,2% (R2 = 0.242) terhadap variasi prokrastinasi akademik. Atau dengan kata lain, semakin tinggi skor academic burnout yang dialami mahasiswa, maka semakin tinggi skor prokrastinasi akademik yang dialami mahasiswa.
