IMAN DAN CINTA SEBAGAI FONDASI RESILIENSI PADA KELUARGA PENDAMPING PASIEN SKIZOFRENIA: SEBUAH STUDI KASUS

Skizofrenia merupakan salah satu penyakit mental parah yang mempengaruhi lebih dari 21 juta orang di dunia. Sebagian besar pasien skizofrenia dirawat oleh keluarga mereka yang berperan sebagai pendamping. Proses merawat pasien sering dikaitkan dengan beban dan distres psikologis. Meski begitu, sejumlah penelitian melaporkan tema-tema positif yang muncul dari pengalaman pendamping selama proses merawat, salah satunya resiliensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik resiliensi keluarga pendamping pasien skizofrenia dan bagaimana karakteristik tersebut berperan dalam proses perawatan pasien. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus terhadap satu orang subjek. Subjek merupakan pendamping yang sudah merawat empat orang anggota keluarganya selama 11 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 12 karakteristik resiliensi yang mencakup makna hidup/tujuan, kegigihan, kemandirian, ketenangan/kesabaran, kesendirian eksistensial, iman, cinta, rasa kasihan, keterbukaan terhadap kritik, kerelaan berkorban, kreativitas, dan kemampuan beradaptasi.
