Screening for Plagiarism
All manuscripts submitted to Insight: Jurnal Ilmiah Psikologi are subjected to plagiarism screening using Turnitin software. The journal permits a maximum similarity index of 20%.
Plagiarism, as outlined by Soelistyo (2011), includes the following forms:
Word-for-word plagiarism
Reproducing another author’s exact wording without using quotation marks or providing appropriate citation.
Source plagiarism
Using another person’s ideas, data, or arguments without proper acknowledgment or explicit citation of the original source.
Plagiarism of authorship
Presenting another author’s work, in whole or in part, as one’s own.
Self-plagiarism
Republishing one’s previously published work, in identical or substantially similar form, in more than one outlet. In cases where authors cite or build upon their earlier work, the new manuscript must demonstrate substantial modifications and present significant new insights. Only a small portion of the previous work may be reused to ensure that readers receive novel and original contributions.
