THE EFFECT OF BIOCHAR DOSE AND BIOFERTILIZER CONCENTRATION ON THE GROWTH AND YIELD OF CHIVES (Allium chinense G.Don)

Chives (Allium chinense G. Don) have a number of important nutrients for health; includes vitamins A, B6, C, and K; calcium, magnesium and fiber. One effort to increase chive productivity can be done by alternatively providing soil amendments. The soil amendment used is by adding rice husk biochar and fertomax biological fertilizer. This research aims to determine the interaction between biochar dose and biofertilizer concentration on chive growth and yield and to determine the best combination between biochar dose and biofertilizer concentration on chive growth and yield. This research used a 3x3 factorial treatment design arranged in a Complete Randomized Block Design (RAKL) with 3 replications, the factor tested was 1st factor biochar dose with 3 treatment levels, namely 1) biochar dose 5 tons/ha, 2) biochar dose 10 tons/ha, 3) biochar dose 15 tons/ha. The second factor is the concentration of biofertilizer with 3 levels, namely 1) biofertilizer concentration of 10 ml/ℓ of water, 2) biofertilizer concentration of 15 m/ℓ of water, 3) biofertilizer concentration of 20 ml/ℓ of water; So we got 27 experimental units. Each experimental unit had 10 plants for a total of 270 plants. The research results showed that there was no interaction between biochar and biological fertilizer on the growth and yield of chives. In the treatment of biochar dosage and biofertilizer concentration there was no effect on the growth and yield of chives.
