Abstract

The research aims to know the influence of concentrate substitution with golden snail silage meal in ration on the performance of kampong chicken. The research was conducted from 4 Maret until 4 November 2018 in Jogotirto, Berbah, Yogyakarta. The observed variables were final body weight, average daily gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio, and Income Over Feed and Chick Cost (IOFCC). This study used a direct completely randomized design pattern, which used 4 level concentrate substitution with golden snail silage meal (K1 = 25 : 0%; K2 = 18,75 : 9%; K3 = 12,5 : 18,3%; dan K4 = 6,25 : 27,5%), each treatment was repeated 4 times, and each consisted of 4 chicken. The data were analyzed using Analysis of Varience (ANOVA), a real difference followed by test Ducan’s New Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the average of final body weight for K1, K2, K3, and K4 are 354,04; 392,64; 391,12; 367,02; g/head. Average daily gain to K1, K2, K3, and K4 are 326,77; 364,81; 363,50; 339,08 g/head/11 weeks. Average feed intake to K1, K2, K3, and K4 are 2.103,75; 2.113,93; 1.968,00; 2.003,81 g/head/11 weeks. Average feed conversion ratio for K1, K2, K3, and K4 re 6,50; 5,81; 5,45; 5,97. Average IOFCC (Rp/head) to K1, K2, K3, and K4 are -5.852,37; -3.753,09; -2.171,21; -2.332,73. The use of golden snail silage meal in rations to 27,5% effect is not significant defferent (P>0,05) on final body weight, average daily gain, feed intake, and feed conversion ratio, but significant different (P<0,05) on IOFCC. It was concluded that use of golden snail silage meal to the level 27,5% was able to maintain final body weight, average daily gain, feed intake, and rations feed conversion ratio to make use of consumption.
