HUBUNGAN ANTARA KEPRIBADIAN NARSISTIK DENGAN PERILAKU KONSUMTIF PADA REMAJA DI YOGYAKARTA

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between the narcissistic personality to the consumptive behavior in adolescents. The hypothesis put forward is that there is a positive correlation between the narcissistic personality to consumptive behavior. The higher narcissistic personality, the higher the consumptive behavior. Conversely, the lower the narcissistic personality, the lower the consumptive behavior in adolescents. Research subjects were 65 students in grade 1 and 2 SMU Negeri 3 Yogyakarta aged between 12-17 years. Data collection methods used was narcissistic Personality Scale and Consumptive Behavior Scale. Results of analysis of data showed that there was a highly significant positive correlation between the narcissistic personality to consumptive behavior, with correlation r xy = 0.523 (p <0.01), so the hypothesis proposed was accepted
