PATERNAL INVOLVEMENT IN ORDER TO DEVELOP THE AUTONOMY OF CHILDREN WITH DIABETIC MELLITUS

Abstract

The aim of this research was to explore paternal involvement in order to develop the autonomy of children with diabetic mellitus. The participant of this study were 3 fathers who have children with diabetic mellitus approximately 12 years old. The method of this study was study case and the data was collected by interview and observation. This question of this study was how father’s involvement could develop children’s autonomy. More over, data was analysed by data reduction, data display, and draw and verify conclusion. The result illustrated that participants had involvement to develop children’s autonomy. Participants encourage children’s autonomy development and the encouragement gave positive effect of children’s life. Key words : paternal involvement, children’s autonomy, diabetic mellitus.
