EVALUASI FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PROFITABILITAS PADA PERUSAHAAN MANUFAKTUR YANG TERDAFTAR DI BEI
Abstract
This research has two objectives. The first objective is to analyze the impact of five fundamental factors (current ratio, debt to equity ratio, price earning ratio, inventory turnover ratio, and total assets turnover ratio) to return on equity (ROE). The second one is to analyze whether the impact of five fundamental factor to ROE are consistent between 2010 and 2011. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling method. the taken sample consist of 43 firms.
The result of the partial test in 2010 indicates that the total assets turnover ratio has significant effect on ROE, but current ratio, debt to equity ratio, price earning ratio, and inventory turnover ratio do not. While, the result on simultaneous test indicates that the current ratio, debt to equity ratio, price earning ratio, inventory turnover ratio, and total assets turnover ratio were not significant effect on ROE.
The result of the partial test in 2011 also indicates that the total assets turnover ratio has significant effect on ROE, but current ratio, debt to equity ratio, price earning ratio, and inventory turnover ratio do not. While, the result on simultaneous test indicates that the current ratio, debt to equity ratio, price earning ratio, inventory turnover ratio, and total assets turnover ratio were significant effect on ROE.
The result on the chow test indicated that the effect of five fundamental factors on ROE are not significantly different between 2010 and 2011.
