EEFFECTIVENESS TEST OF FORMULATION AND DOSAGE OF SOLUTION EXTRACTS AND POWDER OF LIME LEAVES ON MAIZE WEEVIL AND THE QUALITY OF CORN SEEDS

This research was conducted from July 2023 to November 2023, at the Agronomy Laboratory, Faculty of Agroindustry, Mercu Buana University. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of formulation and dosage of solution extract and powder of lime leaf on the development of the Sitophilus zeamis pest and the quality of corn seeds when stored. This research was a single factor experiment with seven treatments and four replications, which were arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD). The treatments tested were, corn seeds with lime leaves powder 0.5g/200g 1g/200g and 1.5g/200g, corn seeds with lime leaves extract 5%, 10%, and 15%. The results of the research showed that treatment of corn seeds with the lime leaves solution (5, 10, 15) or powder (0.5; 1.0; 1.5 g / 200 grams of corn seeds) was not able to control Sitophilus. zeamis properly and treatment of corn seeds with lime leaves solution (5, 10, 15) or powder (0.5; 1.0; 1.5 g / 200 grams) were unable to maintain good quality of corn seeds.
