Abstract

This study aims to determine carcass and chemical quality of chicken meat fed concentrate-based broiler ration, Thirty-six chicks 1 week old used in the experiments were conducted as One Way experiment using a completely randomized design with 4 treatments of feed (use 1 BR concentrate as much as 100%, 75%, 50%, and 25%) per treatment with 3 replications, Data were analyzed by ANOVA and Duncan's Multiple Range Test, Parameters measured were moisture content, protein, fat and meat pH, The results showed that the water content and fat content of real influenced by feed treatment, whereas protein content and pH of the meat was not significantly affected by feeding treatment, The study concluded that the chicken-based concentrates fed up with the percentage of concentrate at 75%, does not affect the chemical characteristics of meat, Keywords: chicken, feed-based concentrates, chemical characteristics of meat
